I'm nearing the end of Act 1, so maybe it's less usefull in the later acts, but Pickpocket has made me a wealthy Death Knight. Well I gave it to him since he's already evil . Anyways if you have never tried it you can practically empty the merchants and citadel guards of anything. You can only have 3 or so picks but it's not limited by item quantity so I 'found' so many bundles of expensive arrows I don't know what to do with them. I have thousands, and the splitter arrows are worth 128 gold EACH.

On the other hand the Embellish skill appears worthless since each valuable skillpoint only increases item value by about 3 percent.

... which would be great if there were anybody to buy the stuff off you

J/k, thanks for the tip. My archer appreciates it. Makes up for the bugged Convert Arrows.

I agree. The few merchants in the game have very little gold, so I limit my item hoarding to stuff I know my characters will actually use. Even the Battlefield merchants don't have much cash, at least through Act 2, Level 1.

Even with all the bugs, the lack of money is my LEAST favorite thing about both this game and Divine divinity. I get the concept of merchants having set amounts but I have way too much good stuff, and I hate just leaving it behind. I remember in DD, I had this incredible sword from an early quest and had to wait till almost the middle of the game to be able to sell it! Also, in DD the merchants gained cash when they taught you skills, in this game they dont. Wonder why they took that out?

I traded in charms - they don't weigh much, don't take up much space and I can empty my inventory. The mage in the BF has charms, but there are more traders in game later on.

Errh - and about trader money => I pickpocketed them .
