I've never heard anyone mention this but...

Magister Holind is the guy on a platform right next to the gate to the courtyard in front of the Fort. The moment he sees the black cat, he starts shooting at him and says "Bad luck to let one 'a them cross your path."

Aside from that being weird and annoying, the real problem is he doesn't seem to STOP. Even after I get very, very far away from him, and no longer even in his line of sight, he keeps shooting at the wall in between and repeating the line above. After I get inside the cave by the beach, he turns around and starts shooting at the gate nearby (???), while chanting the same line over and over.

Like, what in the world is the problem here? And how come no one has mentioned this before, considering the black cat will most likely be with you when you get here? Is it just me?

EDIT: Image. In here my main character and black cat are inside the cave down south, and Holind is shooting at the gate.

He always shot at the cat - just he would stop before. In fact I remember he would always kill it if you went close.

Seems to be a DE issue : http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=648978#Post648978

I don't find this cool. At all. The fact that you can't control the cat means you have to keep your main character out of sight, which is just extra inconvenience. But not just that, you don't even have the option to yell at the guy and tell him to stop being stupid, regardless of whether he would actually listen or not.

This is just dumb, tbh. The cat is clearly following you, any *normal* person would at least yell at you and tell you to get the cat out of their sight, instead of just starting to shoot at him like they're 4 years old and can't communicate or something.

Now my main character can't get anywhere within 100 feet of this guy, until I get to the point where I get to kill all of these guys, I guess.

Just talk to the cat with another character, you don't need to have pet pal, it will still stop the cat until conversation is over. Then you can freely use your main char for something.

This is also good to steal stuff from people, talk to someone, and any passerby with other party members, so their lines of sight don't change. Then take your time stealing.

I don't want to demand things, but PLEASE tell me you guys are fixing this in the NEXT update.

It's enough of a bother trying to ignore this problem, but the Magister can actually kill neutral NPC's if they happen to be in the path of his arrows as he tries to shoot at the black cat. Imagine wandering around town doing stuff and after a few hours you realize a bunch of NPC's are dead.

I generally consider myself a patient person but much as I love this game I'm seriously having trouble forcing myself to play the game with all these exasperating issues.
