Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks josephina: cant pick up staff

I have just got rid of josephina in her lair after following the dwarves. i have picked up 2 ceremonial items and a unidentified staff shows up near the bookcase. i cant see it but it is clearly there when i scroll across or press alt. I cannot pick it up whatever i do. this strikes me as a mjor glitch as with0out it i dont think i can complete the game as the elf wont come with me unless i have all 3 items. Help! this is the last thing as i have all the other 6 members of the council

(Never managed to get Sir patricks Mansion to work either as the proper sequence just does nothing)

Do you have a recent save that you can reload and kill Josephine again?

You should be able to pick the staff up using Telekinesis (it is stuck in the bookcase or wall?). Spell books can be bought, or use iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from Kiya's site, with description) to give yourself a couple skill points to learn it.

You can into Sir Patrick's treasure room for the deed using;
Teleporting Anywhere, via hex editor

thanks for your help Raze. have gone back to an old save and restarted from there. telekinesis level 4 didnt help (but the stars were pretty.)

things like the hex editor are too complicated for me i'm afraid
