Hi there,

I've just begun making some personal mods again for playing through DE. I've already invested about 500 hours in the old engine and besides a few hiccups everything ran smoothly.

So far the transistion to the new engine hasn't been very kind to me. First of all and my current main problem is that I can't get the Texture Atlas Editor to work. I can't even open the standard DDS files.

Just getting some "Could not open" errors. While my own lsx file that I had created just gives me some crazy error.

Have anyone else experienced any issues and know a way to fix it? I'm thinking it's probably me just doing something wrong, perhaps with the paths - But I've been trying to fix it for several hours now with no luck and I'm a bit stumped and frustrated now!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi McCrunch,

This is related to the import issues here: http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=649147#Post649147

I updated the description of issue 1. to include Texture Atlases.
"I can't even open the standard DDS files." Do you mean the Texture Resources you made for those dds files? Because those are also affected.

We are currently working on a fix for this.
Our sincerest apologies for the trouble,
Kevin

Oh, hopefully that'll just fix it for me then. I read that thread and didn't think it was related to the same problem.

The standard DDS files that I'm refering to are all the included game icons. You know potions, skill icons and so on, already made for the game. I can't even open those in the editor.

Thanks for the reply smile

Hi again,

Is this below related to these problems that you're working on? Or am I on the wrong track?

"1 resources found whose SourceFile path is not relative to the loaded module's data folder! You can fix this by going into the Resource Manager panel, expanding the tools menu and clicking the "Fix resource source paths..." option!"

I just clicked Load Level Cache Module & Load Module Cache in the Editor Configuration to see if it would change anything and now I actually got that error instead of a simple "Could not load the file"

Unfortunately I can't seem to find the "Fix resource source paths" anywhere, can't even find the Resource Manager panel.

*EDIT*
Now I'm thinking that the Module things I checked have nothing to do with it. My head is just about to burst after having struggled with this stuff for several days now.

Gah! I just want to add some damned icons smile

Yes, that is one of the issues we were working on.
With today's update, your texture atlas files can be fixed by saving them again in the Texture Atlas Editor.
While other resources can be fixed using the Resource Path Fixer.
I updated the wiki page for this: Conversion Guide For Imported Content

Hot damn! Appears to be working now. At least I could create a file properly in the editor smile
