Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Is it just me or is DE pretty buggy?

Here's all the bugs I found without even leaving the Fort Joy town

1. Cloth physics messed up, clipping through armor and stretched weirdly

2. Torturer trait duration bonus doesn't seem to apply to any spells. The spell tooltip reflects the increased duration but in gameplay it doesn't.

3. Impossible to get Villain trait, even when killing and betraying everyone in Fort Joy.

4. Cloud graphics effect wont appear after a certain time. Loading save file doesn't fix it.

A few more: if you leave the scene with Saheila and Amyro before they complete their greeting, it will hang the quest ( like if you detour to pick up Withermoore's belt). When you leave Ft. Joy, your main gets 2400xp more than your companions.

I've done a few playthroughs of DE and haven't come across any show stoppers. A few graphical things a few odd quest leavings but all pretty minor. That isn't to say we shouldn't report them when we find them. I'm just not sure the terminology "buggy" is accurate though.

3. Was able to get villian tag off of the yarrow quest.

Also your own surfaces and wand attacks dont apply DoTs through magic armor with Torturer. Was this perk tested at all?

If I remember properly, staff and Wand attacks were always direct damage without inflicting status effects. I think surfaces are specifically excluded from Torturer.

I have both villain and hero tags on most of my characters in DE. so it's obtainable.
you just need to dedicate yourself to getting it (if you want to get them in fort joy) cuz all those good deeds interfere.


saheila on the other hand is very bugged.... I even think that it's easier to kill her on sight (and tell almyro in a cage you did it for extra villain points), then to deal with her constant bugs. especially in act2

I finally managed to get Villain by stealing the money from Unnis, tho I had to get the shapeshifter mask first from Wendigo since she doesn't talk to humans. It seems to me it doesn't matter what you do inside Fort Joy. Unnis seems to be the only person to guarantee the Villain tag.

Also, has anyone else noticed how buggy it is to electrify surfaces/clouds? I have to quicksave every time I do it.

Did you do other nefarious deeds? I just tried stealing her cash and got no tag from it, though I did beeline for the shapeshifting mask.
