Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems No Sound effects

I have installed the game and latest patch. I have the ambiant, music and voices but when fighting or even breaking a barrel there is no sound. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

In the sound options when changing the sound effects volume, do you get a sample sound there?

Perhaps a re-install would help, making sure all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) were shutdown throughout; backup save game folders, un-install, reboot, re-install, re-boot, re-install patch.

I had the exact opposite problem, no ambient sounds, music or voice overs, but battle sounds, etc... were present.

Unfortunately the only way I could fix this was to turn down hardware acceleration one notch.

Let me know if this works, I'm kind of curios.

By the way, what are your specs.?
