Latest and greatest version on Steam PC. Checked to see if the bug was still here after the patch today, which it is.

What does the bug do
If customizing a class, then going back to change the Background of your character, the changes will be partially reverted. Partially, in that if you change an ability and add skills from that class, the skill will just be removed as the change is reverted on background change, and the original skill will not fill the slot.

Bug part 2:
There are no warnings on entering the game / making ready in a multi player game, without all the skill slots filled up.

How to reproduce
1. Start a new game
2. Select a class and background (I'll use The Red Prince, and warrior as an example)
3. Select Preset
4. Edit Attributes - Remove all points in constitution, dump them into strength - Click confirm
5. Edit Abilities - Remove the point in Geomancer, add a point in Polymorph. Remove point in Bartering, add point in Persuasion - Click confirm
6. Edit Skills - Click Chicken Claw to add it - Click confirm
7. Select Talents
8. Remove Opportunist, add Ambidextrous
9. Go back to origin
10. Change Background to the next available (Sebille)

Result:
Attributes, Abilities, Talents have been reset. Skills have been reset insofar as the skills pertaining to the original setup has been retained, but the Geo skill we removed in point 5 is absent from the skill lineup.

End bug description

This isn't a huge issue, but can cramp your style going into the game. And it might take a while for someone to actually notice since the starting area, isn't that combat heavy. So, by the time I realized, I was already in Fort Joy, with my good friends, and didn't have the heart to ask for a remake of the party when we had been making good strides.

I hope to see this issue corrected in a future build.

Cheers!
