My game is stuck at a certain point in the game and I see no way to proceed.

As soon as Isbeil
puts my group in the pit and finishes her dialogue
, nothing happens. Then after some more time, nothing happens. I've searched and haven't found this particular issue reported by anyone else and from the wiki I have an idea what is supposed to happen.

But still nothing happens.

Any ideas?

You mean combat doesn't start? Have you tried selecting different options throughout the dialog with her? She's supposed to torture the party for a bit and no matter what options you choose it always ends the same and combat should start at the end.

The problem is that she never starts the torturing. My group just lays there, stunned and unconscious, and I can't click on anything or use any items or initiate any additional dialogue. I've tried a few different dialogue choices and having a different character initiate the conversation, but so far everything ends up with me laying on the floor taking a very long nap.

Hi, I've been having the same problem as Havok, I've tried waited for a couple of minutes and nothing... In my case I'm in a solo run. If possible I may send you my save to see the problem.

Thx in advance

Just curious Minossaur, do you have Fane as your main character like I do?

@Havok: No, it's an original character... dwarf undead...

Hmm, makes me wonder if there is a new AI issue where the enemy won't cast something that is actually helpful to you. IE a poison effect on an undead character...

Would be nice to get some kind of official response since this breaks a major quest of the game.

Except, Isbeil doesn't "cast" anything during that scene; all she does is turning the wheel there.

Could you attach a save right before that part, if it's not too much trouble? Must say I'm curious about this; I'm not getting any problem in my save.

Sure. Here is a save file right before starting the conversation with Isbeil/Justinia.

Thanks. So I tried a bunch of things. None worked, sadly. The theory that this might have something to do with AI avoiding throwing poison at undead is more probable if her "turning the wheel" action is in fact done via a "spell". But even if this is the case, it's still a rather lame bug, I must say. I had Fane in my party in my classic playthrough, though he was not my avatar, and didn't run into this bug.

Anyway, unfortunately I couldn't manage to make this bug go away, but you can go around it by leaving a party member behind in a different area before talking to the queen and Isbeil, then when Isbeil finishes her dialog and stops progressing the scene, have that character teleport in using a pyramid. This will interrupt the scene and Isbeil won't like that, so she will initiate combat.

Thanks for taking the time to try and figure out what was going on! I was resigned to just initiating combat with Isbeil before she starts the conversation but I like your idea of porting in a character from outside the event instead. Hopefully that will continue the quest correctly from that point.
