Hi all,

i already bought a new 32" 4k Monitor.

What are the System Requirements for D:OS2 Definitive Edition to play in 3840x2160?

I want to play with Best Quality Settings and at least 40 FPS

This question is too techy to hope for an answer on here, never mind a reliable one. It's probably a better idea that you do some research on gaming in 4k in general.

AFAIK, the recommended requirements for DOS2 and The Witcher 3 both list a GTX 770. Now if you refer to this article Witcher 3 Video Card Benchmark, then apparently a 2x GTX 980 SLI would give you 42 FPS avg. on Ultra in TW3.

This could be used as a rough starting point, I suppose. Next you could try comparing the benchmark results for a number of high-end rigs to narrow down your options. Something that might also be relevant is that the Definitive Edition runs more smoothly than classic on the same rig.

I run in 4K with graphics options at maximum on an i7-4790K at 4.2Ghz, 16Gb RAM and Geforce GTX970 4GB. It runs OK with the very occasional stuttering however the framerate is noticeably lower than 1080p and leads to some jerkyness when panning the camera. It not enough to bother me though.

Edit: What does help is installing the game to a SSD. Hardly any stuttering when panning the camera.

I run on an i7-7700k with 32GB RAM and a GTX1060 on almost ultra and get about 40FPS. It's much nicer than 1080p and I don't notice any frame drops.

Take a look at this http://www.logicalincrements.com/games/witcher3
If it runs the Witcher 3 on 4k smoothly on ultra settings, it will run DOS2.
