I really in love with this games as I played the DOS 2. The story, gameplay and the world really intrigues and somehow fully interactive. The last battle was executed nicely with the background music and muffled audio that made it epic and sad :(. The love dialogues, humor and expressions are good, too! Really hope to see next Divinity game, love this game. Oh and the ost are epic, too XD. Whaddya think?

Speaking personally I'm ready to see Divinity 3: the Original Sin series has been awesome but Divinity 2 is what really won my heart and it's nine years since it was released. I have no idea what to expect as their release schedule is definitely a law unto itself: I'm not convinced the next game will be another Original Sin, but I'm also not totally optimistic that it'll be part of Divinity's main series either. Could be either, or some other random Divinity offshoot, or something completely non-Divinity-related... I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I also think they will do something different this time. In the spirit of Divinity 2 with real time gameplay.
Imagine they do something like God of war type of game in Divinity universe.

Divinity 2 was real-time, third person (unless you mean Original Sin 2?) which I'm hoping will see a return for the next Divinity game, or that we'll at least be given a choice of perspective. Though as mentioned elsewhere, I suspect that chopping-and-changing between real-time and turn-based is most likely a non-starter as the balance issues would be a nightmare. I know that turn-based was kind of the point of D:OS but I still think it's a bit gimmicky and don't care for it.

Yes, Divinity 2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divinity_II)
I would also like to see their next game in that vein.

But, if Divinity 3 is going to happen (as sequel to Divinity 2) I think they should change the game title terminology. To be out of the confusion with possible future Original Sin 3 which will be turn-based.

But the naming confusion is part of the charm of the series! I mean just to take Divinity 2, which was actually the third Divinity game, and also known as Ego Draconis, and (plus Flames of Vengeance) also known as the Dragon Knight Saga. And is now being confused with Original Sin 2 thanks to the artwork apparently calling the latter Divinity 2 too. biggrin

I don't think Real-Time combat is a good direction for the series, we've got enough of those in the world D:OS 2 is the best turn based style RPG I think I've ever played. This kind of quality is rare and I would love if a 3rd was made with even more resources and time then 2. I've even been trying to hype up 2 to as many people as possible in hopes that that train will make enough progress to convince them to start work on that project. If the became a real-time, it'd just be another action game.

I did some research on DOS1 and can't stop thinking about the possibility that the Source Hunters have changed the future somehow. It might not be the case, but is still a plausible theory in my book.

It does seem that some of the lore has been changed as Divinity 2 and DOS 2 now contradict each other somewhat. I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with the retcon, even though the Divinity lore has never been set in stone.

I would like they make a game as Bloodborne.
Fantasy victorian-gothic city and improved gameplay from Divinity II:The Dragon Knight Saga with environmental storytelling and dark horiffic story.
