Hello,

I finished this fantastic game some time ago,
and would like to report some bugs I encountered (beware some story SPOILERS)

1) There are several bugged journal entries:

- In Drifftwood, in the cave after the voidwokens capture your team, and dispatch each member in different locations.
As an Ifan main, you talk to a dwarf and you understand in the dialogue that you were in fact carrying the death fog bomb that killed the elves.
BUT the journal entry updates BEFORE you talk to the dwarf, spoiling the whole thing before the dialogue frown

- On the nameless island, when you are in the temple, about to gain power in the source fountain and Dallis shows up.
The journal entry is then updated, stating Dallis just killed Alexendar before he ascend at that fountain in the temple, which is wrong.
In my case I alwready killed Alexandar myself.

2) One bug I encountered on the nameless Island:

At the altar of Zorl-Stissa: the god did not talk to me, never heard him/her, although the quest validated it as completed.
I could enter temple despite that issue.

I really hope those issues could be fixed someday, and thank you if they alwready are.

There are plenty of such bugs I encountered myself during the game, some of them seemed too unimportant to mention but the inconsistencies were there. I didn't encounter such problems with Divinity Original Sin 1 Enhanced Edition which makes me wonder what changed that caused the Larian team to not do as good a job on this one.

Although I'm somewhat hesitant to make overt comments about the respective quality issues, there are more (and newer) people involved in the making of D:OS2 so it may be that it's been harder to get a larger and geographically diverse team always singing from the same hymn sheet, at a guess. But I'm also reminded that the later stages of the "original Original Sin" also took some time to get quite right and the ending was significantly reworked, for instance.

Having said that, I haven't played OS2 to the end since its revamp, partly as I was so disappointed by Arx first time round: it felt more empty than Hiberheim and there were a few bits that were conspicuously unfinished (doesn't come much more conspicuous than saying "placeholder"!) plus some of the reworked lore made me feel slightly meh.

A lot of games end up with a community patch to iron out the various wrinkles, but I'm not sure the modding community is quite at that stage yet; again, that's more of an admission that I don't know rather than a comment that it isn't. What I think is a safe bet is that any community patch wouldn't need to be quite as grand in scope as those required for Bethsoft games. biggrin

So it really is what I made a joke on in one of my threads..

Because it really seems like new people that's unfamiliar with the game have been tinkering with the code and so when fixing one thing they have caused more bugs.
