I hate seeing the old crap that i've sold to merchants sit in their inventories forever. It makes it so difficult to find the new stock.
Why would merchants get new stock every hour, but keep the old crap sold to them?

Please fix this. It is frustrating.
Thanks.

So you can buy it back if you realise you needed something, I guess. If you can remember where you sold it, that is...

We already have permanent storage on the ship. We don't need vendors to act as permanent storage. 100% of the stuff we sell are things we forget about because we dont' need them.

If there is 1 player out of 100 out there who needs hand holding, and wants to buy their old boots back, that's not a good reason to keep such items forever on merchants. Especially when merchants get better stock with every level up, nobody will (or should) ever want to buy back their low level crap. It just doesn't happen. It's also not a reason to keep the other 99 out of 100 players frustrated every time we look at merchants inventories.

All of the people that I've talked to or played it, we all hate merchants for this reason.

Here are a few possible approaches, that IMO make perfect sense:

- Give us the option to turn off this permanent storage on merchants, so that each player can decide for themselves if they want to see old crap.
- Or move the old stuff to a separate category, so we can only look at the new stock.
- Or keep sold items in merchants' inventories until the next level up and restocking.

One of those options would make much more sense than forcing every single player, including those who know what they're doing, to stare at the horrendous messy inventories.

PLEASE, Larian!

Or... You can do like I do.. After Fort Joy I sell only to a merchant that doesn't sell anything that you need, like the fish merchant at the market in Driftwood. I usually give him a few things to boost his attitude toward me and I get better price for things I sell to him. With 100 points on his attitude toward me and 1 barter point I'm getting 22% more.

In Fort Joy food and drink changes the attitude of the merchants toward you quite a bit.

you sell to only one merchant? Yikes.
Well I guess that's case in point. Larian should pay attention to what the players have to resort to in order to keep merchants inventories clean. It's insane.

The best solution to this problem is for Larian to create a new tab called Buy Back and make everything you sell land there.

yes, this is REALLY frustrating. Seeing my old stuff on merchants makes me not want to browse their stock. Please fix this.
