There seems to be an issue with DOS2 and the wired Rotor Riot MFi controller i am using, playing on my iPhone via the steam link app. Basically, the controller initially works fine, but if I either close and reopen steam link, disconnect and reconnect the controller, or tab out of steam link long enough for it to force me to reconnect, the controller will no longer work with DOS2. The controller will work fine with steam link, just not DOS2 unless you fully restart the game. Other games don’t seem to have this issue.

Several people have reported similar issues (Controller Doesn't Reconnect), especially with wireless connections going into standby mode, etc.
Initially I was unable to reproduce the problem with a Steam controller or wired Xbox 360 controller, but another person reported that holding Y and hitting the Steam button would cause this (to turn it off immediately, rather than just holding the Steam button for a couple seconds), which I could reproduce. While testing that time, I also reproduced it once by running the battery down, which I hadn't tried before (and didn't deliberately do that time; it just hadn't been plugged in for some time).

Can you connect the controller directly to your computer? If so (a quick online search didn't turn up an answer), do you have the same problem there?

Hi Raze, thanks for the response. So I think my issue is a bit unique because the controller I'm using is for iOS devices only, it has a lightning cable, so you can't plug it into a computer. Here is a link to the controller:

https://www.amazon.com/Rotor-Riot-Fortnite-Mobile-Controller/dp/B07J1J7D6Z

Here is some more detailed info about this issue:

Hardware setup - iPhone 10XS Max, using Steam Link iOS app to stream Divinity OS2 from a Windows 10 PC. Controller mentioned previously.

Ways to reliably reproduce the issue:

1. Unplug the controller from the iPhone while playing, and plug it back in. Controller won't reconnect.

2. Switch out of Steam Link on the iPhone for like 5 minutes or so, and then go back. Steam Link will force you to connect to your PC again, and the controller won't reconnect to D:OS2.

3. Close Steam Link on the iPhone and restart it, same thing happens basically as number 2.

A few other notes on this...

1. This problem doesn't seem to exist with other games, and even when the controller won't reconnect to D:OS2, it still works for steam link...like I can get to the steam menu with the controller and select things. I just can't control anything in D:OS2.

2. If I use the Moonlight streaming app on my iPhone, this problem does not occur. I think Moonlight uses a different streaming tech (Nvidia GameStream) than Steam Link.)

So anyway, my thoughts are that this is likely an issue that occurs just with Steam Link and D:OS2. I kind of remember having a similar problem when I used Steam Link on my Nvidia Shield a while back. Let me know if you guys find anything...Steam Link is a great streaming experience, I would love to be able to use it on my iPhone with D:OS2.

I did check out the controller, but didn't find anything confirming whether or not it was possible to get working on a computer (it has a USB cable for android devices, as well).

I'll add this to the bug report for the Steam controller issue I mentioned above.
