I'v eonly found 1 Battle Field key and was wondering If anyone would be so nice as to help me locate the other's. I've mapped out that whole Imp area and surrounding areas as well. Thanx In advance.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />

The battlefield keys are <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>in the jail on the first island, in the imp village garbage pit, in the SW of the little mushroom forest, in a cave in the mushroom forest and in a cocoon in the spider forest (near the queen)</span>.

Hey Raze are to talking about the Lich's cave In Mushroom Forest? Cause I can't find one In there. Thanx again. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> O, and can I get back to the first area that this chapter started In?

Yes, I was talking about the lich cave. <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>There is a room in the centre of the cave. In the southern east-west running corridor, part of the northern wall is not nearly as solid as it looks.</span>

If you approach the lava where you entered the village, you should get the option to return to the island.

Where exactly is the imp village garbage pit? I've found the other 5 keys & can not find the last key. Thanks. Also, I've had the odd looking gems in my inventory for a long time now & they haven't turned into Fire elementals. How long should it take? I had set them down on the ground in various places & then came back later & picked them up a few at a time. Maybe because I hadn't kept them in my inventory for long before setting them down, they became inactive. I've finished other quests, & went to the battle fields with 5 in my inventory & still nothing. Do I need to have all of them in my inventory? Thanks.

The pit is just south west of the graveyard, on the western outskirts of the village. The imp who asked you to save her brother should not have wandered too far from that point. However, the BF key in the pit is only level 2, and that dungeon would have already been opened by the higher level keys you have already found.


I think you need to click on the odd gems in your inventory for them to trigger a fire elemental. I did the same as you and just carried them around for awhile; IIRC I had to reload an old save to test them (don't recall if they became inactive eventually or if I had moved on to the next act before discovering you needed to do more than just pick them up).

As it turns out, I had that key already. I have 5 keys. I decided to go back to the battle grounds & check to see. Sure enough, I'm able to get into the 6th dungeon. I just assumed that I would need a 6th key to get into it. I'm just trying to finish up all the loose ends before I go up against the Shaman. Thanks though. Also, when I touched one of the odd gems, it says that it feels warm in my hand and then disappears. But a fire elemental doesn't appear. Then the others don't do anything when I touch them or put them on the ground. I guess I needed to do something with them earlier. Oh well. Since I'm already 21st level, I don't think I'd get much experience from fighting them anyway. Most of the things in the dungeons don't give me xps any more. Thanks for the info & Happy New Year!

Each key has a specific level, and will open up to that level dungeon in the BF, so you do not need to find them in order. Technically you only have to find the level 6 key to get full access to the BF (level 3 in act 1), but by then (as you have found) you would not be getting much experience for fighting (see here for a description of experience vs character level).

By the way, people should be careful when cleaning up the village after the shaman realm, before going to Act 3. I was killed by trapped chest in shamans hut. Of all the most humilating things to be killed by, a swarm of what appear to be moths.

I had to reload from way earlier. Didn't think I'd be killed while clearing out the village & selling stuff.
