Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Suggestions Last Patch ?

Hello @ the team of Larian !

I just wanted to ask, now, that the pressure is over, whether we can get the last Patch for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

There are still some broken skills and some difficulties with quests, and there are still players out there playing it.

Personally, I think the time is right now, at least for some fixes, for a last Patch, before the development of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2 begins to blow up.

I think that would be a very good idea.
There isn't really much left to fix. Having given away free copies of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> with <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> there will be new players coming in too.

I'd also like to try a fully patched version even though I've completed the game many times.

Any thoughts Larians?

Unfourtently, its not that simple. CDV needs to tell Larian they can, and I bet CDV isn't feeling inclinded to, sense Larian didn't use them ANYWARE as the publisher for Beyond Divinity.

Imagine how many bugs Beyond Divinity would have if they did still use CDV! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I think Larian can still produce patches for Divine Divinity if they want to, they just won't receive any funding from CDV nasty-pasties.

Brilliant idea. After playing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> I loaded up <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />. I only played it the once as a melee char, so decided to try a survivor/archer with some magic. I am enjoying it now as I did before, i couldn't believe how much I had forgotten. I also found a couple of quests i didn't find before plus a pit near aleroth with potions in them. I am finding the game a lot harder due to the fact that at level 9 i still have the useless bow i found in the catacombs, but I'm not complaining I don't like easy games.

I'm still early in the game so a patch would be very welcome to iron out the few quest bugs. I had one just yesterday regarding the trolls, I know it was someone in the farmlands but having spoke with everyone there no-one gave me the quest. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Yep, that's the guy, but the quest never arose in the dialogue box. He just mentioned his wife all the time. I killed the trolls (12 potions later) but got no xp for it, although everyone i spoke with congratulated me on getting rid of them. Still not really important as there's lot's more xp to be had.

Were you able go get a more recent patch besides version 1.34? I love this game but I need to be able to do all things in this game and I would like to know how to get Beyond Divinity. Please help me Thanks so much and have a blessed day

Well, I must say that I'm hoping for a new patch too. There are many things to be fixed, improved or added. I just hope Larian Studios will do what it can to get some of these things done. Divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> was a great game and making it a bit greater would be nice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> . One thing that I think should go is the permanant polymorph spell (put a time limit on it maybe?).

Any how thats all I have to say for now.
