Does 1 point of Wisdom = +1% Exp for the party, or is there a different modifier, where 1 point = +3% Exp or something?

And is Wisdom a skill like Identify where only the highest value matters, or if the DK had one point and your primary had one point would you get the bonus for 2 points of Wisdom instead?

I dont know the ratio of how much exp is given per point but I can tell you the points count only for the person who has them. For example, my main char. has 3 wisdom pts and gets extra exp. and she is way ahead of my DK in experience. So my DK doesnt get any benefit from it...

From what I was able to observe, it looks like 1 Wis point is 1 exp. I wish it were something higher, but with 3 to 5 wisdom skill, I only opened up about a 5000 to 6000 xp lead on the DK character (something like 367000 to 373000)

Seems to me to be a very small difference.

From what I gathered from the German forums it is not worth it. Even putting 5 points in it off the bat, you may or may not gain an extra level by the end of the game... an extra level that gives 1 or if you're lucky 2 skillpoints.

I know that a level is more than skillpoints, still investing several skillpoints in the start of the game when you sorely need them to get one or two skillpoints in the end (if you're lucky) is not worth it IMO.

In Divinity maxing Wisdom would get you 1, possibly 2, extra levels. In Beyond Divinity, you need twice as many skill points (and then doubled again to give it to both characters) to get the same results.

These wisdom skills never make sense. Skill points are so valuable that having to spend 5 points to get 1 point back is stupid. All other stats can be bumped artifically via magic so whats the point of wisdom.

I never used it in DD either.

It's like Embellish: a horrible return for the investment.

Well I tend to not use my skill points till I find a skill I really love so I just dumped them in wisdom, get the extra exp as I go along, and when I want them Ill spend some of the 150,000 gold I have to trash the wisdom skill and use the points on something else. Id rather get 1 extra exp. point then have my points just sitting there being wasted. And so far I havent purchased a single weapon or armor, the merchants just suck, so I have the cash to trash the skill.

Sherri, I would use them on Luck instead of Wisdom: Better drops!

Same question about "luck" then: should just one or both chars have it?

It is the average luck that determines drops.

So beefing up the luck of one character is still better than no-one's, but less good than beefing up both's.

I just restarted the game, went for 2 Survivors, focusing on the survival stat and the luck skill, to try it out, with just enough points in Agility to defend themselves and Strength to be able to use the stuff.
Going for Warrior and Mage paths once better spells and 2h / 1h-shield skills become available, with basically only luck from the survivor path.

How so? If I have two party members with 5 luck each, or one party member with 10 and another with 1 luck, it still works out to 5. For what it's worth, I would suggest giving all permanent stat modifiers you encounter to your PC, even if this provides an uneven distribution of stat points in such areas as luck. My point being, if for some reason any party member leaves you, you still want to have the bulk of those points where they count the most--on your own character.

Well I have the skull cap from the skull in the beginning, and also gloves and boots that give 10 luck pts. Plus my char is a Survivor so that stat is high. I think my luck is already about 53 and im level 21. I get great drops(thus the reason why I never have to buy weapons or armor and have so much cash). Thanks for the tip though!
