Hello - I hope somebody can solve this. The other day my wife and I started a co-op/multiplayer game. Another player hosted the game and invited me. Once I joined, my wife also joined (so my wife and I are playing couch co-op, and the third hosting player is online).

Everything went fine. We played for a while, got to Fort Joy, and logged off for the night. Today, the player invited us again. I joined up no problem, but as soon as my wife presses the options button to join the game crashes. We tried restarting the PS4, making sure it was updated. Nothing. Happens every time. And to make things weirder, sometimes when it crashes it also forces the game to re-download the already installed 1.11 update.

The game gives different error codes. Sometimes it is the good ol' CE-34878 and sometimes it is a np-32801-4 code (which I've never seen before, and can't find mentioned on the web at all).

I have not tried re-installing the game yet.

I saw this problem posted earlier but there were no replies so I figured I would start a new thread.

Thanks in advance for any help!

This is a known issue, which should be fixed in an update currently being tested.

Hello,

My friends and I also experienced this bug and while we wait for a fix have found a workaround - instead of inviting people to the existing save data, start a new game, then load.

1) On the PS4 which has the save data, start an online lobby and invite your friends (or let yourselves be invited). Make sure everyone joins at this point, including split screen players. Then start a new game. Just choose random characters.
2) From the PS4 with the save data, load the save data from the previous co-op save you were playing.

This should hopefully load the old game for all players with no crashes. We tried a few different things and this was the only way to avoid the crash happening when a split screen player joined.

There is no ETA yet; there was another fix for a different issue added on PS4, so that will need to be tested as well, and then the update submitted.
