I knew this would happen...

Gandalf, could you please stop using yellow text for all your posts? I do like colors, and I like rainbows, but in general I think differently colored text just breaks the reading flow. Colored text should in my opinion be used sparsely and with care.
Dragon's yellow text in the dragon thread added a nice touch to that one post, but using it all the time is just too much.

Just my humble opinion of course, but... please?

I know about Private Messages, but I believe this is something that concerns every user on this forum. And people might disagree with me, so they have a chance to discuss this issue here. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Also, it was and is not my intention to tell people which color they should use. I just tell people that they should not use any color at all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />, or rather "not overuse" colors. There's a difference. Unfortunately ignoring doesn't work since there is no such option in the preferences. I already turned off signatures for the very reason that they often overshadow the posts themselves. That's a pity, since sigs can tell a lot about people. Still, I prefer easy reading.

And Gandalf - no offence meant, you just happened to be the first who used colored text in all his posts. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, I know what you mean of course, and I wouldn't have wanted to disagree with you, my deares pet, even if I was threatened to death by some evil guy who told me to do so. But lately, I am so relaxed, it is hardly to explain. And this relaxed attitude allows me to smile on any color or signature "misuse". As a matter of fact, I regard myself as stoned without any drug abuse. And I think I should stop this now and go back to my work... I have the impression that I am blabbering... but hey, once started, it is not easy to stop such a flow of words. Especially here... but I think it is enough now... and the next time, I will have to use some other colors as well... kind of practicing your tolerance... don't forget... you only see what you want to see... there is no fork... there are no colors... *oohhhmmm*

UG! Me dont care bout color! Me like RED

While we're talking about colors. Does anybody else have a problem with the silver on blue color scheme of the forum listings? I can't read them without highlighting them (like a cut-and-paste highlight). It kinda looks like this: --> [color:"blue"] this [/color] <-- sorta invisible, huh?

Yes, please! It is very hard to read. Is there some way to set the thread titles to a different color?

Nope, for that the skin has to be altered. A quick fix should be possible though..

By the way, I haven't received a reply to my skinning question in the other thread yet, but I'm preparing a new skin nonetheless. In fact, it's almost finished and could probably go online on friday - supposed that the Larians accept it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I could imagine that they are already working on a new default outfit themselves.

The skin looks very much like the RPGDot skin I made, i.e. lots of dark greenish backgrounds and silver/golden text. Not for Alrik I fear, as far as the dark colors are concerned, but it's very readable.
