In the demo they're...grey for some reason? Maybe some authors in recent years have messed with skin, but let's face it, they're deep black. Plain and simple. No debate. Not subjective. I really have absolutely no idea where this grey, purple, pink skin stuff came from throughout the years in media, but it's objectively incorrect.

It's an RPG so...be another skin color if you want I guess, but me? I at least want the legitimate deep ebon black skin option the way the race was written. Thanks

Yes has to be influences from Bullshit like World of Warcraft (and I think even DOTA and cheap mobile games) and other "Dark Elves" in other fantasy worlds.

Most of the official art is still correct.

I think dark grey is also acceptable.

But if you google Drow images then you get loads of light grey and purple colors in fan art. I mean the grey you can argue comes from half-drow but the purple makes no sense. If my player wanted to play a purple tinted half drow I would let them after all artistic freedom and such but still suspicious.

I can see where they might have got the grey from. This is the picture in the 5e Monster Manual.

Like humans I have seen Drow depicted in many shades. Some of them have sub-races.
