Something frustrating I found in Baldur's 1 and 2 is that death meant losing all your gear,especially with companions,I'm wondering if its the same thing here
I don't think there is a definitive answer available, but I doubt it. How do you mean, though? Dying in anyway automatically results in loss of all gear? Or if you, for example, are burned to death, some of your gear is destroyed?
I mean if a companion dies in baulders 1 and 2 all the items and gear they were carrying are dropped on the floor until they're resurrected,that's what I meant
That was because you had to carry their body as well back to a temple. Not many characters could carry the full weight of the character plus their items, it made sense at the time. Before you could self-resurrect it was a pain trying juggle all gear the or weight if a fighter went down; especially annoying with arrows and spell scrolls.
