Minsc & Boo most make a comeback to Baldur's Gate 3 it will not be a Baldur's Gate game without Minsc & Boo

I was really hoping for a new game... DIE BOO DIE MINSC!! die die die die die

I feel more or less isolated in thinking I don't miss Minsc and Boo nor I wish for their comeback one single bit.

I really don't think that way. I loved Minsc, but as a character he has little potiential for growth. I don't expect any of the past companions to return as companions, as companions pull double duty as playable origin characters.

I would welcome seeing as NPC someone like matured Aerie.

Everyone talks about Minsc and Boo but what about Xzar and Montaron?

No, I have had quite enough of M&B. And rather more than enough of a certain unmentionable gnome. I'm actually not certain I would want any of the BG1/2 companions as BG3 companions - although I might reconsider after experiencing what BG3 does have to offer

I would expect some of the original companions to appear through tavern stories, or as incidental characters, maybe even as adversaries. The fact we have a Cleric of Shar as an origin companion might signal a story thread including Viconia DeVir, for example.

not sure how wasnt he human. he would be dead by now. he wasnt to bright.

I'm never quite sure which D&D media are canon, and which are not, but apparently in one source Minsc and Boo are petrified as a statue in Baldurs Gate city for a while. This might make them available, depending on how long they were in that state.

Yeah on page 184 of the Decent into Averus campaign book. It says Minsc and Boo were under the effects of a petrify spell. (statue) and they are dispelled now.

I guess you could say Minsc and Boo were taken for granite.
