Some of my computer specs:
AMD Radeon (TM) R7 370 Series (meets minimum requirements)
Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-6100 CPU @ 3.70 GHz (meets minimum requirements)

Please let me know if I should include more information about computer specs.

Quick Backstory:

Hi guys, I specifically made this thread just to see if any has had this problem before. I'm looking through all of the threads and haven't exactly found one that accurately describes my problem. I've been playing with 3 of my friends for about a little more than a month now, and due to work, we are only Level 14-15 and nearing the Blackpits in Act 2. This is a modded gameplay on Steam, and I have about 31 mods installed, most of which are from 3 of the big bads (imo) going by OdinCore, Kalavinka, and LaughingLeader. The mods are either from them or have been recommended by the modders as they usually provide a link to a collection of mods they use. This has only started recently in our playthrough. Up until now, the game was smooth with no lag whatsoever. The issue started to become very apparent when we reached the area where the Harbinger of Doom resides, and has since haunted us since (we then moved on to the Lone Wolf base, killing everyone there, all of which happened before where we are now).

Problem:

We are experiencing a ridiculous amount of lag for our SPECIFIC save file. I have a solo campaign that I used to compare my group's game save with, and found that the lag only occurs on our save file and that my solo campaign runs smooth as ever. As mentioned in the backstory, this has only begun to happen recently. Some of the issues consist of a lag when attempting to enter a dialogue with anyone, lag when attempting to switch characters (when i was trying to fix what was wrong by myself), and abilities not being registered such as using Phoenix Dive only for it to go on cooldown or not at all and for my character to jump in place. This happens when the game is loaded with just me in the game as well, as I assumed it was a connection problem. I checked Task Manager and it seems that the game is eating up a lot of CPU, when loaded into that SPECIFIC save file (my solo is using only up to 35% compared to the drastically high number of my group's save file). I did some research and people recommended verifying integrity of game files through Steam (unsuccessful), deleting the contents of the LevelCache folder in Larian Studios folder (unsuccessful), and running "msconfig" in Run and tweaking some of the settings to reboot my PC and then reactivate the settings back to the same as it was (also unsuccessful). I have also tried disabling Steam cloud connection and deleting save files and lowering max save files in hopes of improving connection, but to no avail. I don't know what else to try as I don't want to remove any mods as they could potentially crash my game, or at least that is what I am assuming. Please let me know if you could help me out. I love this game, as I play DnD with the same guys that I am playing this game with. My role playing fantasy won't be satisfied if I can't resolve this issue. Cheers.

UPDATE EDIT 3/31/30 7:35 PM:

I went back and read some more of the threads including the top ones. Provided by Raze, I tried all of the options below where he says to rename the Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition folder, make a new profile, and ect. That didn't work. I tried a couple other ones as well. X.X Please help me.

If the same actions in the same locations have different performance in the playthroughs (and it isn't a case of differing mods), most likely the problem is in the save itself.

Please email supportdos2@larian.com with your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc), as well as the modsettings.lsx file from your profile folder.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.
