I am playing DOS2 Definitive Edition on Switch. No Steam cross-save. I started having crashes in the last ~8 hours of play (the Switch shows the "The software had to close because of an error" screen).
I'm in Arx, and the issue started happening during the Lizard Nightmare quest. The crash happened 3-4 times specifically while the game was in the process of quick-saving. I started only manual saving and that seemed to solve it. I left the Lizard Nightmare before entering the portal, had the same crash with a quicksave in the battle at the bottom of Kemm's vault. I then returned to the Lizard nightmare portal, and again used manual saves instead of quicksaves. This time the game crashed in the first round of the fight with the Red Princess--I was NOT in the middle of saving. Now, when I start the game and click "Continue" the game crashes in the middle of the initial loading screen. Since there is no way to choose an older save to start, I'm locked out of the playthrough.
My Switch and DOS2:DE are both on the most recent version. I'm not sure how to give technical info other than that. What would help?
