At some point on Fort Joy, I decided to try to collect all the Huwbert's encyclopedia books. So I might have missed a few there, before I decided to collect the whole collection. And I still haven't finished my first playthrough of Divinity Original Sin II. So hopefully I'll still be able to find the rest.

I searched for the complete collection on the internet, but didn't find it. That's why I'm making this thread. Can we do it together? If you found any book that is not listed here, make a post saying the name of the one you found and where you found it (so I can get them too). I think there are only 6 missing from my collection. I keep all of them in their own bag, for organisation.

I heard that there is a quest about these books, but I didn't get there yet.

I don't even pick up those suckers anymore so I have no recollection of what the ones are you are missing nor where they are located. I will keep an eye out, though. Heck, some just say "book" and they pop up everywhere (even sealed in dungeons that haven't been open since 300 years prior to Hubert's birth ) so you'd practically have to search everywhere and everything and read every "book".

what makes my search ever so frustrating is that I keep finding copies of the ones that I already have. How many "The Rise of Alexandar" have I already found? 10? 30? Probably something around 1 trillion. Alexandar has already fallen, it doesn't matter how he rose anymore.

Jackpot. I just found the Cranley Huwbert NPC on the game. The COMPLETE collection can be found by pickpocketing him! That was pretty anticlimactic. I thought I would never find some of them. Oh well, mission accomplished.

Out of curiosity, did you get an achievement? I have never even tried to pick pocket in the game; I try to be the classic hero .

Never pick pocketed? wow, I considered going like that. You definitely can.
Sorry to be spoiling it for you if you didn't get there yet. But you'll also have the option of buying any of the books from Cranley himself, so you really don't need to worry about collecting one by one throughout the game. Like I was! *facepalm*
