It occurred to me that there is a huge error in the end story line. At least I think so. It'd be great to read what others think on this: The Divine wants you to give up your source making you a zombie of sorts. "All of it" is needed including his. He will return as Divine but without power. However, if he gives up his source, how will he as a silent monk fool people into believing anything? All life has source, ie, no life will survive. Sounds like the void to me.

Good question. I have no good answers to it. But I'm also curious to hear an answer to this question, someone probably knows it (probably Raze?).
To be honest I was so confused at the ending that I didn't give much thought to it.

I would assume because Lucian was not a sourcerer, but given power by the gods when he became Divine, extracting his source would not be as invasive.

Here's another (but not end story and very minor): The gift head that Elosie gives for helping her in Ft Joy, if eaten (by Sebille or an elf) says that he was the person who ordered the destruction of the Elves's and their forest but that was ---- Lucien.

Actually, it says "It was your Order who did it", as in he was a member of the organisation who carried out the attack (but wasn't involved, and only heard about it after the fact).

Oh, an interesting case of 1 capital letter changing the whole meaning of the sentence.
