I've been given a few quests -

get wiseman belt from a grard
get moles armour (i think thats what its called)
find explosives
get piercing amulet
kill someone called arhian(sp)

travelling right from the settlement where all the traders are congregated i get to a piece of land with a dungeon entrance.

i kill everything in that dungeon (there is only one level. no stairs down etc..)

i dont get any of the items from the quests. i never encounter any of the quest enemies..

if i exit the dungeon and carry travelling right, i encounter spiders/ghosts/earth golems and other entrances to dungeons (but they are all locked!!!!!)

where do i go?? ( i can see another dungeon entrance at the top of dungeon i'm in.. but the route is blocked by a wall, no way around.)

(i have searched for all related topics but most people moan about not having monsters on the 2nd and 3rd levels. i cant even find the 2nd level!!!!)

misc info - v1.4 patch applied.

Thankyou for any assistance.
(this may be in the wrong section but i was unsure as to where to put it! sorry.)

Locating additional battlefield keys in Act 1 will unlock the other dungeons. The quest items are randomly located so they are likely located in the locked dungeons.

It's random, but the monsters are on the third level (the small one), along with quest items if applicable. In my game, the first dungeon had 3(!) in a very small area, the second had 2, and the third had none.

No, monsters do not respawn in the battlefields, altho there are separate battlefields for each act with new quests, monsters, and treasures in each one. A good tip, if you leave your items in the bf like I did, make sure to retrieve them before the next act. You can trade for arrows or charms, jewelry, etc. to reduce encumberance and retain most of their value into the next act.

so, how do i open the 2nd and 3rd dungeons. using a key that i find in the main game?

(so you need a key to unlock each battlefield per act, and then need keys to unlock the dungeons in that battlefield???)

That is right. Each battlefield key has a certain level. If you find the level 3 BF key, it will unlock the first 3 dungeons, even if you missed the level 2 key.

That being said, is there any point in carrying the previous keys when you've found the third?

you dont actually carry the keys. (maybe you can by dragging them
into your inv. but you certainly dont need them on you.)

theyre lying on the ground. you left click on them, a text message says its unlocked. (you dont pick them up)

You can drag and drop the keys into your inventory, though as you said, don't need to.
