In the Imp realm, the Mirth god asks you to do this to get the truth from her. I tried this option once and all I noticed that was different was that I no longer had "bless". Did I miss something? The god is still in your sole and still gets angry when you don't ascend, so, nothing different there.

I think it only adds some dialogue towards the end of Act 3 from your god. I never did notice that I lost bless, but it's not a spell I really used much, anyway. I'm probably about to come across this encounter again tonight so I will actually check it out.

Another good question! I renounced, but I didn't notice anything different. I don't think I even lost the Bless skill.
I was expecting huge consequences from renouncing my god. But looks like nothing actually changes.
Hm.... I imagine the devs were planning to implant some consequences but gave up on the idea later. Just a guess.

Nothing of consequence I don't think.

I thought I lost "bless" but, the hot keys are a disorganized mess since you can't move items from one level to another so I could have just not seen it. It often happens where I have to look at all five levels multiple times until I find the spell I want. So, little happens. I too thought the consequence would have been greater (and not necessarily negative).

I had my fights with those hotkey bars too. After much struggle I said enough and ended up creating a whole system of organization for them. For example, the bar number 5 was the bar for food and potions, and there was even a predetermined sequence for each type of potion, and each type of food. You can count on me to overthink stuff 😄.
Bar number 4 was for weapons and equipment that I was often changing, or would like to change quickly. Like a piece of equipment that gives Bartering, or Thievery.
Bar number 3 was for scrolls.
Bar number 2 was for grenades for my Tank and Rogue. Special arrows for the Ranger. And continuation of skills for the Mage, that had 54 Memory at the end game.
Bar number 1 was just standard skills for everyone.
