i cant decide whether to get BG3 on stadia or upgrade my old PC which i dont want since i dont wanna spend a lot of money on an upgrade(i dont even own a GPU). but since stadia currently doesnt support mods(they said they are working on it) im kinda leaning towards PC. im a big farming simulator 19 fan but the stadia modless version is just not as good as the modded one on steam, and i dont wanna go tru the same situation with BG3. can i get a confirmation from the developers if stadia is or will work in fact with you guys in implementing mods for the game on stadia?

With the cheap cost of Stadia ($125?), probably best to go that route first, and if a new PC ($1500-$2500?) ends up being needed, then go for it. That's probably what I will end up doing, especially if Solasta ends up being good as it looks and is available only on PC.

Currently, there is no mod capability confirmed for either PC or Stadia. So if that feature is important to you, you should probably wait until something has been confirmed.

stadia is free to use, you just buy the game and thats it. unless u want 4k and surround sound. but yea seems like itll be awhile til they implement mods for bg3 so ill just get it for stadia.

How would mods for stadia work? It's streaming, you don't get actual access to the game files, right?

There are "gift bags" that include a number of mods for the game (e.g run speed out of combat, pet pal perk, weapon upgrades, etc). I think they are available in the PC version too, but I haven't checked in a while. Aside from that, I don't know of any other mods for the console version.

Yes, there are gift-bags. That’s make sense why they are there. I was wondering why some mods were “officially” in the game.

The gift bags were indeed primarily a solution to bring a selection of the community mods experience to console players. 😊✌
