Hello!

I've heard there will be some Twitch integration where viewers can influence the game in certain ways. I have two questions in regards to this, particularly for the EA release:

1) Can I stream the EA release on Twitch?

2) Will Twitch interaction work with both Steam and Stadia? I own both, so still trying to decide which platform to buy this on.

Thanks! :)

If you hadn't already since you posted this, take the time to watch this video of the recent Dropped Frames interview from earlier this week....what they revealed here is (I believe) the only mention of such to date, but not sure if they got detailed enough to answer your questions above fully or not:

Thanks @Tyndaleon! I watched it and at about 19:40 is when they talk about it. I'm still confused, though, as to whether this Twitch integration will be in the Steam version or not. They do mention Stadia specifically, and I'm seeing conflicting information in third-party articles:

From https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/baldurs-gate-3-price-twitch-integration-and-more-revealed#:~:text=How%20Does%20Baldur's%20Gate%203,going%20on%20in%20the%20game.

""BG3 EA gonna launch with some funky Twitch integration that'll allow you to vote on certain things - bit like what we did in the Panel From Hell but all proper," Michael Douse said on Twitter.

As a reminder, the Panel From Hell showed a bit of live gameplay and the player had to make some choices at certain points. The panelists opted to ask for a vote on what the player should do during the live stream, so we'll probably see it work in a similar fashion in the live game.

Of course, Baldur's Gate 3 isn't just coming to PC — it's also arriving on Stadia, and that platform has a similar function called "Crowd Choice" that integrates with YouTube. Will there be Baldur's Gate 3 Crowd Choice?

"I can't comment on Crowd Choice, but we're working on a bunch of Stadia features to make best use of the platforms cool uniqueness," Michael Douse added in a Twitter reply. "Nobody will be left out.""

------------------------------------------

But then there's this from: https://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2020/08/s...gaming-platform-rests-on-baldurs-gate-3/

"But all of this hinges on how well the Crowd Choice, and undoubtedly other features, are integrated into the game itself, and if Crowd Choice causes more gamers to opt for the Stadia version of Baldur’s Gate 3 over PC. After all, you can play Stadia for free, and if you play it on your PC, you don’t need to buy a Chromecast or a Stadia controller – just the game. Even if you already have a super tricked-out gaming rig, it might better to buy the Stadia version (if you have a good internet connection) just to try out Stadia’s Crowd Choice feature in a private stream with friends. The PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t have this feature – though it might have a way for players to see what decisions their friends are making in cooperative multiplayer. Doesn’t sound nearly as exciting."

------------------------------------------

So... I'm SUPER CONFUSED lol...

Any chance we can get an official answer, as this could sway purchase decisions for a few of us...

Look at that necro!

BG3 EA have been out for over two years so you should be able to find plenty of information.

First off, I wanted to express my gratitude for sharing this valuable information about the upcoming Twitch integration. It's great to see game developers incorporating interactive features for streamers and viewers. To answer your questions, yes, you can definitely stream the EA release on Twitch! It's an excellent platform to showcase your gameplay and engage with your audience.

(X) Doubt.

And that's overlooking the shameless plug for the practice of selling "Twitch followers".

Yeah, it's most likely spambots.

Unfortunately, though frankly I have no idea what possible good it can do anyone, the battle against spammers is a constant one. But we have a zero tolerance policy here. Any account found posting spam links, or judged likely to do so, is subject to immediate deletion along with all messages created by it. Which is what is happening here.

Feel free to report any suspected spam accounts in case I miss one.
