Since we have one week (minimum) or more of waiting, What games do you recommend to scratch your RPG itches?

The original trilogy is the obvious choice.

There´s also Knights of the Chalice, Styigian reign of the old ones, Wasteland 3,... What else?

I already did my run through of BG 1 / 2 / ToB with my headcanon character: a half-elf berserker. I usually prefer casters, but I think there is a nice thematic connection with my bhaalspawn struggling with an inner rage that is actually the product of his dark heritage. Plus, immunity to Imprisonmemt f—-s up the demilich.

I also went through IWD, which was a lot of fun. I really hope someday they find the source code to IWD2 somewhere so than can release an EE.

I tried to start a Dragon Age: Origins playthrough, but I was never the biggest fan of the game and it hasn’t aged well for me. 2 and inquisition are hard passes.

I don’t really have time now, but if I did I would maybe try to finish up PoE2. I have tried several times, but I always hit a wall around level 13 or 14 and lose interest.

I did my BG run recently and am now splitting my free time between NWN and Age of Decadence. I've also been playing around with Fallout 2 and the old TIE Fighter. I retried getting into Tides of Numenera but it just isn't speaking to me.

I finished up my sixth and final playthrough of D:OS2 last week. Was bittersweet uninstalling it, but 370+ hours is enough.
I'm about halfway through my second playthrough of Wasteland 3 now and will wrap it up within the next few days.
Then it's just a matter of counting the hours.

I´m trying it. It´s a fun TB Dungeon crawler. =) You seldom see an indie game dubbed in french too.

It´s going to be a bummer when I switch the party of six of Naheulbeuk to the party of 4 of BG3...

Finished PF:K during summer. The end was a pain and Im glad Im done with it

Finished Icewindale 2 last week and wouldn't mind replaying the EE of this game if it ever came out.

Restarted Planescape:Torment EE this week end and honestly, I have to say this game aged really well, even more so than BG. Beamdog did a really nice job on the EE and the game plays really well. I have friends of mine that are avid tabletop DnD players that have never touched this game and I can't stress this enough to people who haven't played this: play it. It really is one of, if not THE best RPG ever, DnD or not.

Lol, I froze when the barbarian quoted Conan the barbarian and smirked when the bimbo elf said something really stupid, she quoted woody allen! lol "Eternity is a long time, especially towards the end."

Yeah, and the dwarf is quoting "Lord of the rings" all the time too. Fun stuff.

I keep meaning to play The Outer Worlds again now that there's a New Thing to explore, but I've been far too disorganised so I'll probably just spend the remaining time faffing about.

By Cthulhu’s eldritch testies, how have I never heard of this before? This looks right up my alley.

For those who like more action based combat, returning(AB) for G2. Gothic 2 has one of the best implementations of rune magic and returning/AB adds a lot to it.

People here in this forum said that they wanna more specialized wizards, returning/AB did it to Gothic 2. On normal gothic 2, you can learn army of darkness on monastery of Innos. Something that makes zero sense since Innos hates dark magic. On Returning, instead of just "magical circles", now we have the circle of Fire(innos/Fire mages), the circle of water(Adanos/Water mages), circle of stones(????/Gurus) and the circle of Darkness(Beliar/Necromancers). Just like on vanilla game, you START AS A LV 0 NOBODY. Wanna become a Necromancer? Talk to Xardas about it, then he will say will be no way back and ask if you are sure. If you accept, you are now a novice of darkness. Now you need to train your spirit and mind, by doing intellectual things and raising mana. After reading a lot of books and doing a lot of other intellectual things, like alchemy, when you have 30 INT and 80 mana, you can do the INITIATION in the circle of darkness.

The initiation, involves killing a "sheep of innos" and the monastery of Innos is not an easy place to invade, kill and escape. There are a lot of powerful fire magicians with power to OHK you even if you have the maximum possible hp in chapter 1. That quest involve scouting and planing a lot. After accepted into the circle of darkness, you become one with the darkness. Xardas now can teach the first magical circle to you and how to make arrow of darkness, the first spell.

I've only played Gothic 3 (well, and "that one" that came after). Wonderful game for its complexity, number of side-quests, atmosphere, scale and everything else; even though it started off in the middle of a battle where you could get pwned, which set the scene for about the first quarter of the game, and had bugs and terrible voice acting. It was still awesome. But how come there were only about three women in the entire game? It gave it a slightly odd vibe.
