Howdy,

Having just about finished my adventure through DoS2 (150 hours and going), I'd like to point out something that I wish were in DoS2 and would love to find in BG3.

Due to the size and scope of the game, and the annoying realities of real life, it's easy to forget the finer points of the missions that pile up in the journal. It'd be really handy if any dialogue (written and voice acted) would be linked in chronological order under the entry in the journal. This would allow for refreshing the brain of the important bits of a mission, without having to go to the Internet, where more often than not, you'll get spoilers.

Anyhow, can't wait for the alpha and final release!

well... just to point out, according to some sources there are 1.5 million words in entire game, for comparison purposes; bible is shy of 800K. now i'm not oppose to have every single line written in some part of journal, but personally i would start new game than read the book. smile

Putting everything in a log would be useful early on, but good luck finding anything through even a few hundred thousands of words indeed. Even with a search function it could be troublesome.

Maybe the option, in the quests journal, to re-read every quest-relevant lines you heard or read? Plus the option to anotate quests. That would be really nice.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

I agree with those points, you don't want clutter in the overview of the journal. But, it could allow you to drill down into a quest, and then an event within the quest to reveal the important conversations. You could then click on each to read or listen, depending on the type.

Some type of uncluttered way to go back and refresh yourself about an event.
