Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Group control chain unchain (help?)

How do i unchain my character and still have him on F1 hotkey?? does it irritates anyone else ??? they talk so much about positioning and high ground, but i cant figure out if there is a quick way of splitting my group before the fight and then chaining them back after the fight... that just annoys shit out of me.... am i doing something wrong?

2 ways: Either right click on picture to 'ungroup' or 'group' , or take the picture and drag it upwards and let it go /it will ungroup. Take picture and drag on top of another to group.

They also need to be in range.
