Just use the restoration scrolls you find at every corner as soon as you're level 1.

Death's Door condition occurs when your character is knocked down to 0 hit points. The way to fix this is to have another character go over to them and use the help action, which will get them back on their feet with 1 hp.

In 5e rules, when you are down you need to make a death saving throw each round. This is a roll with a difficulty class of 10. If you fail three cumulative saves first, you die. If you make three successful saves first you get back up with 1hp.

I am not sure what this game is using for the DC, but I have yet to make a single successful death saving throw in this game. Only reason I haven't had a dead character is because of the help action and the Revivify scroll (which each character gets one of in their inventory). With a DC of 10, each roll should be a 50/50 chance.

(Larian might want to think about difficulty settings for the game. I've put the EA down for now as I'm just a wimp who wants to see the story and not spend my day banging my head against a brick wall of failed dice rolls. Also might want to check to see if the dice are properly random. I mean, I know I'm a horrible roller of dice in tabletop games but...)

I'm sure that someone will make a mod that lets you roll success on every check.

Really? I thought that you just stay "downed" when you make three successful saves ...
Or at least that is what mine companions do. :-/

3 Saves and they just keep laying there on the ground waiting for help.

Mine too, but I think they're supposed to get up.

By 5E rules, you don't get up unless you roll a natural 20 (in which case you get 1 hp):

Quote

A stable creature doesn't make death saving throws, even though it has 0 hit points, but it does remain unconscious. The creature stops being stable, and must start making death saving throws again, if it takes any damage. A stable creature that isn't healed regains 1 hit point after 1d4 hours.

Also by the rules, "help" doesn't automatically give you 1 hp. It requires a DC 10 medicine check to just get the character stable — although in practice usually DMs allow pouring a healing potion down their throat.

Also in practice, DMs usually ignore downed characters, which makes real-world sense if there are active enemies attacking you. In BG3, I notice that almost all enemies keep pounding on downed party members until they're really dead. I'm not super happy with this — some enemies might act that way (and I can definitely see goblins taking the opportunistic vicious blow!), but most aren't.
