Yesterday night I was thrilled. Creating my first character... saw the 5e dnd rules come true. Really cool!
But... I was just about to click "venture forth" when I realized I had to check all tabs for choices. As most were set with default values.
I missed a step by step introduction.
It actually resulted in one major error and one minor, that made me restart when I met the cleric... My name is "Tav"... Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... it is not... what the heck did I do wrong???
I started giving a name to my... session? I thought it was the name of my character... so I missed the Character name field... ending up with a default name. Once I started all over, I realised I also missed my background. I would have prefered these choices were made step by step.
Finally I had to look up my 5e players handbook to find out Deception bonus as I couldn't remember. Yes... wisdom bonus apply. I would have loved a bit more explanation about the bonuses on my skills; what ability scores improves what.
Perhaps it's just stupid me - or did anyone else end up with "Tav"?
