Hi peeps!
So I'm playing through EA as a warlock and mimicking one of my warlock builds from pen and paper 5th edition. I picked up the devil's sight invocation. Later I got the darkness spell and casted it on myself to blind an assassin bugbear. However the game says I am blinded as well (see screenshot). The devil's sight invocation description says "You can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 120 feet." I'm a bit confused whether this is intended or not or if I missed a button click. I think if it is intended it would negate the use of devil's sight since must people that I know that play warlocks use darkness in tandem with devil's sight.
Second part. As shown in the screenshot, there is the encounter with a bugbear assassin sneaking up on an unaware tiefling. There wasn't any dialogue option or interaction to intervene before the bugbear killed the tiefling or I didnt trigger it. I'm curious what was the point of encounter.
Lastly, Overall I'm having an absolute blast with the game. It feels really grounded as a dnd game. Characters feel unique and genuine in their identity. Lots of freedom to choose how players handle situations. The list goes on. Great job guys, I can wait for what happens in the rest of the story!
