Screen edge camera panning isn't very consistent. I currently have "Lock mouse to window" and "Edge Panning" enabled.
Not sure if it's just related to playing at 4k resolution but there are huge dead zones for camera panning. I would recommend changing the panning zones to something similar to the green bordered area in the screenshot below.

I don't have the panning issue as described above, but I am playing at 1440P. I have an issue where the game seems to "forget" that I have "lock mouse to window" and "edge panning" enabled every few minutes. In order for the game to "remember" this, I have to tap " w,a,s, or d".

I've also experienced this and the same thing fixed it for me as well. The edge panning thing still happens.

I have the same issue. I´m using 3440x1440.

ALT + TAB to desktop and back to game fix the problem

I'm playing in full hd (1080p) and i have the same problem. So i don't think the resolution has something to do with it. It's pretty annoying tbh and i hope it will be fixed soon. Uusually it happens when i center the camera on a character.

I too have the same issue playing on a Mac under 10.15.7 at 2560x1440. As well, once I use WASD, edge panning works.

I found that edge panning works whether or not I have "Lock Mouse to Window" enabled. I can't remember what that's supposed to do. It's been quite a while since I finished Divinity Original Sin 2. Can anyone enlighten me please?

It keeps your mouse locked to the game monitor if you have a multi-monitor setup.

Thank you. I don't have that yet, but the graphics on this game have really tempted me to get a gaming monitor. So it may come in handy.

Same issue on my side (I play in 4k on a PC). Edge panning is either not working at all or work by little or huge jumps. Like it was sait in the first comment, there are zones where it will never move. At the end, most of the time it doesn't work, and when it does I fin myself watching a scenery way outside my target. By the way, using W,S,A,D doesn't change a thing for me (just a back up solution to move the screen around the environnement).

Temp workaround is to double-click the active character to recenter.

Running "Ultra" on 1920x1080 @ 60Hz, I Have "Edge panning" checked. The issue seems to be intermittent. It will work while out of combat, as soon as I enter combat, the free panning ,edge scrolling control goes away weather its in turn based combat or not. Once the combat sequence is complete the camera will focus on whichever character is selected and I can not pan/edge scroll around.

I had to remap my keys rather than using middle mouse button - E and Q are now my camera panning keys. It's helped quite a bit, but it's still not nearly as fluid as it should be. Just port over the system from Divinity 2 maybe?
