A simple character import/export function like in the older Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, which would keep items and levels games would be nice.

That's be awesome, being able to import a character from another game, edit it and start a new game, instead of copying everything on a sheet of paper and redoing the character from scratch.

This game ties the decisions you make to a specific character. being able to switch out characters mid-game would break that. Being able to import a level 5-10 character at level 1 would also break game balance.

You mean like every other baldur's gate game/expansion ever? We BG players/fans want our normal game functions included.

If you don't think the function is appropriate, maybe play a different game.

The same thing can be said to you. Go play a different game. Maybe this isn't a game where you can just export characters or whatever. Next time try not to be a douche.

I like the export feature on the other BG's. If someone wants to break their game and the balance, it should be the players choice. That is a feature of all of the BG games. The only person's experience it affects is the player doing it, so why not allow it? If someone doesn't want to they don't have to, its a choice/option.

Yes but this is not DoS and BG, isn't it right that I can't play with my character once the game has started, if I want to help a friend in difficulty why can't I create my character?
