Basically, you can sneak attack if you have Advantage. But right now, it's an attack option; I have to click 'Sneak Attack'.

For people who don't know the setting well (new players to D&D), they may not realize this is a thing.
Any chance sneak attack can just be automatically applied when it's valid? It does not require any extra rolls to hit; it's just extra damage.

I agree. Sneak Attack should be automatic, and the UI should tell you that you will get Sneak Attack on the creature when you hover over them (before attacking).

yeah it should be automatic and trigger once per round. Either when you have advantage or when you're attacking an enemy an ally is within 5ft of.

It should definitely be automatic. If available a rogue attack is a sneak attack, there's no reason it wouldn't be.
