Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Gloves applying debuffs to equipped character

I have these gloves equipped on one of the characters, and from the wording, I'd assume that it's only suppose to inflict bane on the creature being attacked, however it is applying bane to the character each time they attack. A friend pointed out the flavor text which might indicate that it's actually supposed to be a cursed item, however I'm posting this just in case it is a bug.

The gloves debuff them because they are "non-believers" of the Absolute, as it says in the description.

There is also a spell like "The Absolute's Protection" or something that I used during combat and it debuffed my girl

Pretty sure it only works on goblins, or maybe if you choose to be branded it will work on you but I did not.
