It would be much easier to manage spells and abilities, especially once higher levels are available, if clicking on the resource indicator (e.g. the spell slots list, channel divinity, superiority dice) on the character action UI brought up a list of all available ways to spend that resource. As currently implemented the hotbar that is used for both items and class granted abilities gets quickly filled up on spellcasters with their spells leaving little room for items.


Also, I may have missed it, but there does not appear to be a way to see what Warlock Invocations you've selected.


As an aside: if you're going to be changing classes around, Warlock's Hex may as well be made into a level 1 class feature rather than a spell.

Rolled a Wizard for first test run yesterday, and the sheer number of starting spells overwhelmed the little block UI in the lower right hand section.
All of my spells were mixed in with scrolls, and thrown consumables.

Can We get some serious work on the UI for spells/abilities in that section? maybe a clickable spell book that opens up into a more "spellbook" looking UI that has spells at least sorted by thier levels? Will REALLY help once you start getting to level 3-4 and have 60+ spells to sift through and key bind etc.

Even at level 1 I'm taking a lot of time to pick through which spell I need from the little icons.
This is really the only thing i have to suggest, and for an Early Access game, that's saying something! smile

I think the UI could really benefit from separating the spells into their own book/block and keeping another block available for available actions/scrolls/potions even though spells are actions it allows for a more streamlined organization of your spells if they are kept by themselves, especially like you said once you get to having a bunch of spells.

+1 on the spellbook idea. Would really help if Ritual casting is added in the future as well.

Great idea. Helpful and it would also be another connective tissue to the OG Baldur's gate ui.
