I encountered an issue when pressing the 'Venture forth' button when your character name is left blank. Nothing happens, but when I type in my name afterwards it makes me 'venture forth' as soon as I write the first late, leaving me with the character name 'B'. I did spam the button before writing the name, which might also have an effect.
Aside from fixing this issue, it would also be a good idea to put in some text, signaling what is preventing you from continue, or just keep the name slot on screen at all times.
