Came across a spell-environment interaction I expected to work that didn't, figured I'd start a thread for these kinds of issues. If there's already one going, let me know and I can move this there.

On the ledge in the goblin camp with the sleeping drunk goblins, I tried using the silence spell on the cracked wall area to keep from waking them up while hammering on it. Instead I triggered the fight, with the handicap of my whole party being silenced at the start. Looking at the spell description, it definitely seems like this should have worked.

Loving the game so far, amazing work, thanks to all at Larian.

This happened to me as well. I assume that the current Silence spell literally only prevents verbal spells from being cast inside it but doesn't prevent noise from being created in the bubble. So the cracked wall can't cast a verbal spell, but it can produce noise when hit. Hopefully this gets patched in later on since Silence adds alot of options both in and out of combat.
