Really like the direction of the game so far. But when I duel wield, if my first attack kills something, I should stop attacking. Let me use my bonus attack on a different mob. This should just be automatic. Right now I have to use my offhand attack first, then use my regular attack feature to keep that from happening, which is clunky(I hate that word, but this is the definition of it).

There is also an interesting (but possibly unintended) mechanic here. I can shoot an arrow at an enemy, then close in and use the off-hand bonus action to get in a melee attack as well. Not sure that should be allowed, but I guess I'm not complaining. Also, does dual-wielding not carry any to-hit penalties in 5e?

In 5e, dual wielding and being able to do a bonus action attack is only applicable if you used your main action to do a melee attack. Also, if you do not have the Fighting Style Feature, then you do not get to add your modifier to the damage (they did implement this).
