When my warlock gets hit I am not given the option to use my reaction. On my warlocks next turn, I can use the ability and it consumes my spell slot, but it does nothing. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is not working as intended.
I used this earlier, cast it and it puts a sort of buff on you. You should see it active in the right end of your ability bar.
If the buff is active and something hits you your character then will do a sort of casting fire animation and after that I believe the buff is gone and needs to be cast again.
