Hello, I have accumulated just shy of 10h of gameplay and I would like to share my thoughts with the hope that it helps you make the game even better.

To start off, so far I am enjoying the game. It is addictive despite being in what I can only assume are very early stages of development.

The things I like about it so far:
- Aesthetics. Simply put the world is good to look at. Nice level of detail, so far nothing over the top and nothing particularly boring.
- The wide choice of options when it comes to handling a situation. I have tried to solve the grove problem in many different ways now. They can all work and some are significantly more challenging than others.
- Character creation is pretty thorough in my opinion.
- The fact that not everything is in plain sight or easily clicked upon.
- Being able to destroy obstacles instead of lockpicking, moving or circumventing via a different route.
- The big open "up-down" areas keep me exploring for more and more. I think that this was a very good design choice for a BG game.

The things I do not like:
- Camera. The camera is so strange. You should absolutely be able to turn left and right with your mouse by moving it left or right. It's extremely intuitive and I would very much like to at least have a separate setting that enables this. There's also the issue where you can't fix the position of the camera in certain angles. Like if the camera got zoomed in, but my character is up a cliff off the edge of my screen sometimes I cannot zoom out. It was very frustrating to deal with this.
- Jump animation. It's so.. weird. Nobody jumps the way characters in BG3 currently do. Maybe it's just me, but in my opinion it would do the game good to think of a better looking jump animation.
- Combat system. The combat system currently (I've gotten to level 4) is very... simple, uninteresting. But only if you play a rogue/fighter. I have had a blast on my warlock. Still, I feel the main issue is that you only have one "major" action per turn. This makes it dull, slow and repetitive after a while. Maybe consider expanding upon the combat system, if at all possible, or (I'd prefer this a lot more) change to BG1/2 combat system.

Small things I didn't like:
- Pixelated eyes for tieflings. Something is wrong with the textures themselves.
- Mid-conversation characters can get stuck in their animations which is very weird to see.

The last ones are to be expected of a game that isn't actually finished, but I hope that you can take my criticism and potentially use it for something. Thank you for reading and thank you for finally giving us a new iteration to Baldur's Gate.

if by change to BG1/2 combat system you mean real time w pause, then that is never gonna happen.
Larian was chosen by WotC specifically due to their experience with turn-based combat systems (among other things), and they have been up front about this for long.

if you are referring to characters only attacking once, then that was the same in BG1 and BG 2, and most other crpg's in the low levels, it allows for progression.

level 4, which is all we have in EA is still fairly low level, but by DnD 5e rules fighters and rangers (among others) get a second attack at 5th level, around the same time spellcasters get 3rd level spells, which are some of the most fun and powerful ones (untill 5th or 6th level spells), like fireball.

Rogues already in a bit of a weird place atm in BG3, so i am looking forward to what they will do with them.
