So sometimes in dialogues my character looks very cheerful when I feel he really shouldn’t.

I think it would be great if there was a way we could change your characters expression during dialogue. Nothing too fancy. Just being able to cycle through grim - concerned - neutral - cheerful with the arrow keys (or cross pad for controllers) would add an extra bit of interactivity and role playing to the dialogue and make the game more immersive.

This isn’t all that big of a task programming wise, and it’s something I’ve wanted to see in these sorts of games since the first Dragon Age.

Please Larian! Pleeeaaase. 😁

This also struck me as a huge problem. The default expression of my character seems to be an extremely smug grin.
Considering I was just standing back because two NPCs were about to murder each other it felt extremely out of place and did not fit at all with what I was imagining my character would do.

Personally I would probably prefer to just disable the cinematic camera and stay in the top down view, just as in D:OS and also every pen & paper game I have ever played irl.

I think it should match too. Like in the druid grove

Inside Kagha is letting a kid get killed by a snake. My "Evil" character can let her die by doing nothing multiple times, yet when the kid dies my character expression is her crying. Like...why? It was my chars choice, so based on that she shouldn't be crying. How can I be an evil character when it's a terrible experience.
