Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems Beyond Divinity crashes at act change

I am on win 98, and it crashes to desktop when close to having finished loading act 2. I know the trick with reducing resolution to min, but it seemingly doesnt work when you blow up the fortress with the bomb in the forge. If i just go up the stairs to act2, after having set resolution to min, act 2 loads fine.

I had this problem with 1.40 / 1.41 but as far as I can see it is solved in 1.42.

has the resolution change problem been fixed in 1.42?

It hasnt, im still forced to reset the rez to 640 to be able to advance the acts. But with 1.42 installed, and going to lowest rez, and using the forge, i went to act2 fine. Now you just have to fix the rez bug.

There really ought to be a way to disable those buggy cutscenes from playing at all.

K now im pissed time for flames-i gave this game a chance but theres just way to many bugs.I just had the ACT2 change crash also-thats it.Im sorry this shoould have been addressed before even being released.Cutting graphics to 640x480 just to load the next act is LAZINESS.As it is BD &DD both look like crap in those settings.Among other bugs found some arrows worth 2 mill yet they disappeared.Normal magic find arrows that would have been a lucky find.Items look like maces yet there armor pieces.

I reinstalled the game w a new dl patch.Your patches are corrupt being on a open internet server.I never had these problems with old DD back in the day except maybe a casual video problem but no CTDS or anything else.Also tired of losing my magic items everytime you want to patch the damn game.Thats 3 patches now in 2 days.
