I was going to collect my thoughts until the weekend, but there was so much and it seems the versions are being updated so quickly. So here are my comments:
AESTHETICS & CHARACTER CREATION - Larian's vision of Baldur's Gate is on full display. The music is epic, and the voice for "Who are you?" and "What attracts you?" are so otherworldly - perfect for an illithid-inspired game. Also, as forecast, the character skins look really good. I also like the stretched nature of the Gith heads. In Character Creation, I like to have my Abilities sorted out right after Race - in D&D (5E especially) the Abilities help to determine so much. I would prefer them right after Race. Also, with over 30 hairstyles, maybe allowing us to input an integer to take us right to an already-seen style would be nice. The "What attracts you?" is an intriguing and engaging inclusion, but given some people don't want romance, perhaps you can have a Skip button. When listening to your potential character voice, the music volume should reduce.
PARAMBULATING, COMBAT AND MECHANICS - It would be nice to be able to individually move characters, outside of combat. At the moment, the non-selected "follower" sometimes walks through fire because they're on automatic follow, which finds (usually) the most direct path and not the exact path the selected character takes. This incidental damage is not good, especailly at Level 1. With regards to the gear icon appearing on outlined objects, one might want to investigate an object before operating it. There is no choice to Investigate first and that would be nice. In combat, I think we NEED the Dodge Action. Also, a Cancel Action button would be nice for when we choose a spell that we discover doesn't actually apply or when our ranged target is too distant, so we have to do something else. A clear Disengage without Jump would be nice. I chose Disengage/Jump which was interpreted as "walk away until a jump is needed", so I incurred two (2) attacks of opportunity before I came to the point to jump, which was not what I wanted or expected with "Disengage" being part of the description. We NEED Disengage. I also did not notice my Rogue's DEX modifier being computed/added to his rolls when interacting with the newly born intellect devourer.
BACK TO AESTHETICS - I think it would improve your product to work on the sky that is rendered when the character is falling out of the mind flayer's ship. You are probably already looking at this one.
FINALLY, A BUG TO REPORT - When Shadowheart tells you to "Lead the Way" at the front of the large door, another image/model of her slips in behind herself. This was with V4.1.83.3931.
