As a Fighter, I chose Protection at Level 1. Protection allows you to defend adjacent allies when they are attacked. I can't find Protection listed on my character sheet, and also I don't see it working or any way to activate it during battle.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Are you using a shield (required) and are you within 5 feet of a companion ?
If so, attacks against that ally should be at a Disadvantage (the way it is written/described in the game anyhow)
[i.e. on the tabletop, it is a Reaction and should work only once per turn].

Oh, wait, it is most probably a Reaction !
So check your available Reactions on the right-side of the UI
. If it works, it is rather an excellent choice!

Baraz,

Thanks for the reply!

I've seen it now on the Reactions window. It wasn't there before, but maybe there was a reason. Anyway I see it now.

Is there any way to see a Combat Log that shows the history of a battle with rolls and modifiers like Advantage or Disadvantage?

That would be wonderful, especially when testing the Early Access version.

Yep. There is a combat log window, bottom right, but it is collapsed by default.

I did not see it myself : someone had to tell me.
