I am getting an I/O error when trying to install the patch. This happened on patch 1.4 (Downloaded twice) and ver 1.42 from this site. I even test on both game installation on different partition. The strange thing is that after downloading patch 1.4 from Fileshack.com, I was able to install the patch with no problem. Error message: "An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This normally caused by a bad installation media or a corrupt installation file." P.s. Lynn you have been great supporting us and I just want to thank you for that. Other than the bugs, I love this game!

Could it be a problem with your hard disk? Bring up event viewer if you're using Win2K/XP (Start->Run->eventvwr.exe), and check the system log for bad block errors etc.

Problem fixed! I downloaded the patch again onto my second partition drive and was able to install it. [!]
